Founded in 2016 by artist Diana Ho, this AAPI, woman-owned business began through the simple act of sharing baked goods. The first iteration of the business involved pairing homemade baked goods with artwork made by local artists. Innumerable pop-ups later, the business arrived at its current brick-and-mortar space in Gowanus, which now houses the work of over 125 artists and creatives, many who are local to NYC. Our curation intentionally includes often underrepresented makers, specifically BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, women & femmes, as well as disabled folks–even creative dabblers who don’t often get space or opportunity to play and experiment beyond their day jobs. By fostering empathy through artful gift-giving and holding space for joy, we ultimately aim to make the arts more accessible to everyone.
