Garden Club

The Garden Club was founded on September 25, 1956. We currently have 84 members. Eight are honorary.

Our general meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday morning of every month (except June, July, and August). Most of our meetings are held in the meeting room of the Public Library, located next to the high school. The exceptions are our holiday party, annual meeting, an evening meeting, and an occasional field trip. Our social hour begins at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting and program begin at 10:00 a.m. The Executive Board meets on the fourth Monday of the month in members' homes.

The purpose of our club is to stimulate among amateurs the knowledge and love of gardening, protection of native trees and plants, and encouragement of civic planting.

Our members help with fundraisers so that we may continue to support our civic projects and annual scholarship. We have interesting meetings, learn a lot, and have fun in the process!

We have been a member of the Garden Club Federation since 2001.
