About Genghis:
Hot & Cool Szechuan Cuisine was the slogan when Genghis Cohen Restaurant first opened for business on Oct. 14, 1983.

That slogan changed to Southwestern Chinese Cuisine when we expanded and remodeled in 1988, mostly due to the Mexican Paver tiles we laid in what was supposed to be our lounge and party room.

In 1990 we started using that space to present live acoustic shows and we whimsically called it Genghis Music Room. Over that time it's grown from a small and intimate 30 seat room into a small and intimate 60 seat room.
