Germantown First Church of God

760 Farmersville Pike
937-855-6907

Back in 1926 at the home of Sarah and Edwin Scott in Farmersville, a special prayer service was held that would forever change the Valley View community. "You can't outgive God," Sister Sarah's motto, emblazened the fledgling congregation to sow the seeds for First Church of God in Germantown. And so it began.

Since then, the church has seen its share of faces and places, having moved numerous times over the years. From tiny Germantown storefronts on Cherry and Center streets to the wooden tabernacle on Market Street, parishioners faithfully followed God in each location.

By 1987, the church had settled in for good on Farmersville Pike in Germantown, and, in 2001, celebrated the addition of a 1,000 square-foot building that houses the beautiful 400-seat sanctuary.

A further detailed history of First Church of God is available in the church directory, as well as the commemorative 75th anniversary video. Call the church office or see one of the staff for further information.
