Glendale Christian Church exists to honor God by making faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

“Therefore go and make disciples (followers) of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”

Our Beliefs

About God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and one day He will return and we will stand before Him to give an account for our lives.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

About the Bible

The Bible is God's Word to us. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspired it, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

About Human Beings

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

About the Church

The Church is the body of Christ here on earth and exists to make faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

About Salvation

Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self- improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Chris as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. We believe the best response to hearing the good news of Christ is to turn from way of life (repentance) and unite ourselves with Christ in baptism (immersed in water).

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. “ To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.”

Heart For God And Lost People

My ministry and leadership will reflect my desire to love God and reach out to lost people. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” - Mark 12:30; “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”

Excellence In Everything

I will do my best at all times according to the acceptable standards. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Authentic Faith

I will be a person of honesty,integrity and character. “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity.”

Relationships That Build

I will build up people for the sake of God’s kingdom and not tear them down. “Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Team Spirit

I will lead with a spirit of servant hood and humility.I will put the interests of others ahead of my own. I will accept advice from other leaders. “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
