About Us:

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1913 after starting as the Owensboro Businessmen’s Association in 1893. Through the years, the Chamber has been the primary business advocacy group for the community.

Today, the Chamber has 900+ members and is run by a 23-person board of directors. The Chamber staff is currently comprised of six employees who run the day-to-day activities of the organization. Each December, the board determines its annual Plan of Work for the next year. The Plan of Work serves as the blueprint for the Chamber.

The Chamber is organized into four divisions: Advocacy, Member Services, Membership Development and Administration/Core Services.
