The staff, students, parents, and community at Guilford Elementary School have formed a coalition to ensure that all students will enjoy learning while developing their fullest potential academically, emotionally, and socially.

We have made a strong commitment to establish and foster positive attitudes concerning teaching, school environment, school spirit, and multi-cultural diversity. The staff has set specific academic goals to accelerate the achievement levels of our students in all subject areas. Our “Character Counts” program creates a climate of respect and caring while instilling positive values in our students.

Our school has upgraded our two computer labs with IMAC computers that operate on a network that gives staff and students access to the Internet. Each classroom has a MacIntosh connected to the network. In addition, we have a new mobile lab, a portable unit with fifteen laptops, a printer, and an airport which allows access to on-line resources at any location in the school.

Guilford Elementary is committed to opening the doors to all learning opportunities. We excitedly welcome our students to their "first steps toward college and beyond" and warmly embrace our community when they gather to utilize our computer labs. Through these endeavors, we vitalize our mission of ensuring excellence in teaching and learning so that each student will participate responsibly in our diverse and changing world.
