One, an historical sketch, is adapted from "Hancock Church and Its Physical Growth", September 25, 1960, a small booklet issued at the time the present Church School Wing was dedicated. This booklet was written by Ruth A. Stone, Chesley M. Dunlap, and Howard S. O. Nichols; primarily the latter who first attended the church in 1888. The second part, a more recent church history is in the form of a list. This outline consists of outstanding events "gleaned" from the Hancock church's annual reports of 1960 through 1999.
