Haslett Community Church

1427 Haslett Road
517-339-8383

We are banded together as a Christian Church to maintain the worship of God, to proclaim the gospel of Christ...to inspire people with love for truth, passion for righteousness, and enthusiasm for service. To this end we pledge our loyalty to Christ and covenant with one another to strive to express His spirit...to live together in Christian community...working, giving and praying for its increase, its purity, and its peace, and seeking in every way to make it a power for the building of the Kingdom of God.

History:
One hundred charter members started our church in 1954. Three main pastors, Charles O. Erickson, Robert E. Frederick and Kurt A. Kirchoff (current), have served as spiritual leaders over the past 50 years. The physical facility has continued to expand-starting with the ground breaking in 1956 and continuing through the addition of new classroom and office space in 1996. In 2001, children's church-school classrooms were renovated to facilitate adoption of the rotation model, our Kingdom Makers Workshop.

Our church family consists of approximately 425 members with an average Sunday worship attendance of 175. Currently, 50-60 children and 20-25 youth participate regularly in church-related activities, and the church family has about 190 children and youth in total. Our members represent a range of personalities and backgrounds with many involved in community affairs and concerned with social issues. During the year, members interact in many social activities such as softball, camping, and skiing. The church operates the Haslett Food Bank which served 601 families in 2003.
