HOSPICE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!

Volunteers are part of our hospice team and provide supportive emotional, spiritual, and other services to patients and families who are facing difficulties at the end of life. When visiting a patient's home, a volunteer serves as a friend to offer respite for caregivers and emotional support to patients and their loved ones. Activities could include reading to the patient, playing board games, assisting with a hobby, or simply listening. Volunteers may also help by running errands or shopping for groceries. Volunteers become part of Haven's Interdisciplinary Team, where they participate in case conference, in-services, and hospice training.
