About Us:   

Hodag Country Cowboys is a cowboy action shooting group dedicated to shooting and enjoying firearms of the old west. It is sponsored by the Hodag Sports Club and shoots at the Hodag Sports Club rifle range on South River Rd just west of Rhinelander.

The club is an affiliated member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). SASS is an international organization created to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting. SASS endorses regional matches conducted by affiliated clubs and stages End of Trail which is the World Championship of Cowboy Action Shooting.

It also promulgates rules and procedures to ensure safety and consistency in Cowboy Action Shooting matches and seeks to protect its members 2nd Amendments rights. SASS members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting. All matches are run according to the SASS safety rules and procedures.
