Hollywood Park

Hollywood Park
3883 West Century Blvd
310-330-3515

History:

Founded by legendary film makers Harry and Jack Warner and several of their influential friends, Hollywood Park opened its doors June 10, 1938 and became one of thoroughbred racing's most important venues.

A significant part of the sport's landscape for more than 75 years, Hollywood Park served as home for countless legendary thoroughbreds, including, among others, Seabiscuit, winner of the inaugural Hollywood Gold Cup in 1938, three-time Gold Cup heroes Native Diver and Lava Man, and 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta.

Additionally, Hollywood Park - which was also known as the Home of Champions and the Track of the Lakes and Flowers - was the source of numerous innovations that remain in play today, including exacta wagering, Sunday racing, the Pick Six and the Players' Pick 5. The historic venue also played host to the first Breeders' Cup in 1984 as well as two others (1987 and 1997). Although live racing ceased with the conclusion of the 2013 Autumn meet, the Hollywood Park Casino, which originally opened July 1, 1994, remains a first-class simulcast wagering facility.

The recently-remodeled Casino features two rooms - General Admission and VIP - were players can comfortably wager daily on races from all over the United States as well as South America and Australia.

There are plenty of self-service terminals as well as mutuel clerks in both the General Admission and VIP areas as well as numerous food and beverage options.
