Our Vision:
A vast array of high quality educational programs will inspire our students to become "educational stars" resulting in Horizon Charter School being ranked in the top ten percent of all California public schools.
Our Mission:
The mission of Horizon Charter School is to provide quality education to K-12 students of all abilities, diverse cultures and beliefs by building upon the unique, individual strengths of each student. Horizon Charter School will provide parent-driven educational opportunities in partnership with highly qualified, credentialed Supervising Teachers. Each student will have access to a comprehensive, broad array of learning choices and educational pathways which maximize individual learning potential and result in life-long learners who are productive and responsible citizens in their communities.
Our Operating Guiding Principles:
Ethics and integrity: uphold the vision, mission, guiding principles, and goals of our charter
Quality-driven: recruit and retain the highest quality professional staff and provide them with training and information necessary in order to deliver quality educational programs and services
Accountable: establish measurable goals for the school, parents, students, and each staff member in order to meet the needs of our students in a changing economy and society
Service-oriented: uphold the needs and optimal education of our students
Efficient: ensure that all processes are designed to be simple, efficient and effective as possible
Responsible: confirm that each member of the school accepts responsibility for their individual roles and goals
People-oriented: recognize that our greatest assets are people and treat one another with the utmost honor and respect with sincere appreciation for the positive contributions of individuals to the success of Horizon Charter School
