About Us
Huron City Schools serve as a focal point for the community. Our district consists of three buildings: Woodlands Elementary School (preschool through 4th grade), McCormick Middle School (grades 5 through 8), Huron High School (grades 9 through 12). Approximately 1600 students are served by the district and are transported by a fleet of 16 buses. Huron City offers gifted and special education programs along with many extra-curricular activities for students of all ages. Approximately 85% of Huron's students opt to further their education after high school graduation. For the ninth year in a row, the Huron City School District has been named to the "What Parents Want in a School" listing.
