Iowa All-State Jazz Choir
About the Choir
IAJE and ICDA are pleased again to sponsor the tenth Iowa All-State Jazz Choir. Under the direction of Greg Jasperse, 12-18 high school jazz choir singers will be chosen to participate in this event. Rehearsals and performances will take place in conjunction with the ICDA Summer Convention at Mason City’s NIACC Campus on July 23-26, 2007. Two additional rehearsals prior to convention will be required and dates and locations will be given to the singers upon acceptance into the ensemble.
Any high school student currently participating in their school’s choir is eligible to audition.
Each student selected will be responsible for the cost of their own housing, food, music and rehearsal tape, as well as all registration and entry fees, and any transportation needs. Directors are responsible for chaperoning and transporting their own students or obtaining a designated adult to do so during the festival.
