Kaiser Permanente Hospice Volunteer and Bereavement Services


Looking for a way to engage your heart, mind, and spirit? Become a Kaiser Permanente Hospice Volunteer 

Our team services these three Kaiser Medical Centers and the surrounding cities:  DOWNEY, BALDWIN PARK, and HARBOR CITY. Hospice Volunteers provide emotional, spiritual, physical and social support for terminally ill patients and their families to help balance the spirit of living at the end of life. We have service opportunities for:

● Companionship ● Caregiver Relief ●End of Life Support

● Creative Arts (sewing, knitting, crocheting, music, crafts, singing etc.)

● Bereavement Support ● Office/Administrative Duties

If you have an interest, you:

Must be 18 years or older

Complete an application

Provide Valid Driver's License 

Provide Proof of Auto Insurance

Pass Background Check and Drug Test

Complete Orientation and Training Programs

Volunteer 2-4 hours per week for 1 year
