Kent State Stark serves our region as a key intellectual resource providing open access to academic, economic and cultural advancement through excellence in teaching and learning.
Kent State University at Stark was founded in 1946 and has been serving Stark County and the surrounding area for over 60 years. As Stark County's only public university, Kent State Stark plays a vital role in generating a more educated workforce, attracting and retaining qualified individuals to the area and contributing to the positive economic development of the region. Kent State Stark is located on 200 beautiful acres in Jackson Township, just five minutes from the Akron-Canton Airport and easily accessible from Interstate-77.
