Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad

History

Founded on March 9, 1976, the Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad is the home of Division 37 Immediate Past Lt. Governor (2004-2005), Liz Ferguson.

The club is the Charter Organization for Carlsbad's Boy Scouts of America Troop #784 and provides ongoing support for its youth.

The local Kiwanians sponsor a Builders Club and a Key Club within the Carlsbad School District and are supportively involved with Join Hands Save A Life, which assists area at-risk youth.

Although the club has but 25 members, it was the driving force in the recent formation of a new Kiwanis club in nearby Encinitas.
