Situated among the tall Ponderosa pines of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, Maine School enjoys a quiet, rural atmosphere. Small class sizes (average 12 students), and individual attention create an ideal learning environment. Small classes allow the professional staff of teachers to provide individualized attention and hands-on activities which bring learning to life!

"Arizona has defined what its children need to know and be able to do in ten content areas: mathematics, reading, writing, science, social studies, fine arts, comprehensive health, technology, foreign language, and workplace skills," (ADE, Standards-Based Teaching and Learning.)

Differentiated instruction and a solid curriculum for core subjects based on the Arizona standards for Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science, are integral to academics. A wide range of study in physical education, health, the arts, and technology, provide a well-rounded learning experience for students at Maine School. This school year (2006-2007) will see the return of 7th grade classes to our campus.
