Millcreek Farm And Garden
Millcreek Farm & Gardens has the advantage of having been the floodplain for overflowing river waters for hundreds of years. The resulting rich, fertile soil now produces some of the finest produce in the Western United States. The farm is watered by fresh mountain spring water. We boast better melons than even the famous Green River melons because of our unique soil, crystal clean water, and a longer, warmer growing season. The bumper crop of melons, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins and corn last year was fantastic! The word is spreading and we are inviting all of the local restaurants and grocery stores in the area to carry our locally produced food. The Walker Farm, which is the genesis of our particular farm, has been in existence for 120 years. There is evidence that the Anasazi Indians were the original local farmers here and we are growing our food just as naturally as they did.

Our program offers a 'pay-as-you-go' program. With the $25. 'share' purchase, you are registered as a member who is allowed to come onto the gardens to choose what produce is best for you - when you want it. The cost per apple-sized box of produce is $20, with the exception of melons (which would fill the box so are sold by inexpensively by the piece). Share owners have the option to order organic, home-baked whole grain bread as a regular feature of their buying (for example, share-owners can place orders to have warm, fresh baked bread ready for them every Tuesday when they come for their produce.) Ordering organic eggs from free-range chickens is also a feature offered to share owners.
