One of the worst school districts in a frighteningly bad county. If you have a special needs child DO NOT MOVE TO THIS CITY. They take the funds allocated to these disadvantaged kids to balance their budget. Most of the teachers are burned out, under-educated and have terrible attitudes. The work they give the kids is 2-3 years behind every decent school in the country: my child was coloring state maps- IN TENTH GRADE. Had to get an attorney to sue the district for denying my son an IEP for 4 years, despite numerous professionals coming forward-in person-to validate my son's Aspergers Syndrome. Truly a horror of a school district run by horrible people. Don't risk it.
