Northwood’s academic program is developed around the teaming concept. The teaming concept allows for five teachers (math, science, social studies, language arts and a special needs teacher) to work together with a team of students throughout the school day. The classes are scheduled for 57 minutes with 3 minute breaks in between. The students also experience encore classes to include: art, music, family and consumer science, physical education, technology education, and health. There is also a jazz band, and 7th & 8th grade bands, choirs and orchestra.
