The Norwich Women’s Club had its origin in 1907, as the Women’s Literary Club of Norwich. Over all these years, the Club has promoted cultural, educational, civic and charitable aspects of life in Norwich. Membership is open to all residents of Norwich and other interested persons.
To mark its 100th birthday, the club has donated a beautiful Town of Norwich sign at the Main Street entrance to the village.
Centennial activities have included a special program at the Fall 2006 general meeting, a cocktail reception at the opening of the Norwich Historical Society’s retrospective show on the club, installation of club banners on Main Street to mark special club events, and a final event to be announced for Fall 2007.
