Polymnia is made up of over 60 singers from cities and towns north of Boston.  It is a not-for-profit organization, supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council, a local agency funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  Founded in Wakefield in 1953 and based in Melrose since 1956, the group serves the community's cultural and educational interests by presenting concerts ranging from sacred hymns and classical music to popular show tunes.
