Portage River Farm
We are transitioning to a full year CSA operation. We grow over 100 varieties of vegetables and herbs. Farm produced honey, maple syrup and fresh free-range eggs are also included. We are establishing more long-term crops for the coming years such as fruit trees, berry patches, rhubarb and asparagus.

We are committed to the idea of building community among our membership. As such as host many events throughout the year for our member families such as bonfire parties, sugaring off parties, barn dances, picnics and volunteer farm work events.

Our little family farm began commercial operation in 2009. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs for our CSA and for Farmer's Markets in the region.

With our first year of production under our belt, we are now gearig up for our membership expansion for 2011. We are also upgrading our CSA operation with a new hoop house and root cellar system to allow us to provide our members with produce year round.

In addition to vegetables and herbs, our shares also include farm fresh eggs, maple syrup and honey. Throughout the year we host many on-farm social events to integrate our members and their families into the farm life such as bonfire parties, sugaring off parties, skating parties, barn dances, picnics and farm project work days. Various share sizes and work discounts available.
