Missions:

From the beginning of Priest Lake Christian Fellowship, God has called us to commit to missions around the world. We sent out our first missionary, Janet Hudson (now Janet Worth), in 1989. Janet spent seven years in the Philippines through Overseas Mission Fellowship before returning to PLCF.
Guy Pierce was the next to go out from us as a long-term missionary. He spent four years in northern India as a church planter with Youth With A Mission. Last year he married Eun Joung, one of the team members, and they are now in Antioch at PLCF.
Currently, we have two significant mission undertakings. Gospel for All was established by Sam and Vivian Dersu. (Sam is one of our elders.) Gospel for All has ten full-time evangelists ministering to the Oromo people in Ethiopia. These evangelists preach the gospel, do education on HIV and AIDS, and work with children orphaned by AIDS.
PLCF also sponsors a family of nine from our church who are involved in agricultural ministry in a closed, Communist country. The ministry allows them both to feed the hungry and to train and strengthen leaders in the local churches. Because of the sensitive nature of this ministry in the country, we do not list the family's names or personal information. Our church sponsors the family in partnership with Hendersonville Community Church.
