God's Vision (G.O.S.P.E.L.) for Prince of Peace:
Prince of Peace is a Family of Disciples.
God asks us to:
Grow in the Holy Spirit - we will study the Word of God in order to transform our lives, reject "in name only" Christianity, and wrestle with the reality of what living as authentic Disciples of Jesus Christ both looks like and acts like. We will all need to grow as Disciples if we are to accomplish all that God is setting before us. Folks in our community are hungering for real spiritual food. They will be drawn to a table that provides it.

Offer Ourselves in Worship - we will worship faithfully and with all our being in a variety of dynamic settings, recognizing that people experience spirituality in different ways. The humble and sincere hearts we bring to God are the most important part of our worship.

Share the Good News - we will reach out, so excited about what Jesus means to us that we will not be able to keep it to ourselves; we will take our Savior with us into the world, inviting others to get to know Him, and sharing the Lutheran perspective that nothing can separate us from the love of God through Jesus Christ.

Provide What God Requires - we will tithe, acknowledging that the first 10% of what we receive is God's. We will strive to move beyond the tithe with our offerings, and also commit our spiritual gifts and talents in varieties of service, so that we might accomplish all that God is calling us to do.

Embrace Each Other in Fellowship - we will care for each other, sharing our highs and lows in a warm, supportive, grace-filled family who actively welcomes new Disciples into the fellowship.

Love our Neighbors - we will love as Jesus loved, seeking out the needs of our surrounding community and then responding to those needs with effective ministries. We will set an example for our Synod and wider church by whole-heartedly supporting the work of the ELCA World Hunger Appeal to save lives and "be Jesus" to the poor, homeless, destitute, and starving.
