Mission Statement

Quilcene School District, in active partnership with the community, shall provide a quality education to all students in the community, through a program of learning emphasizing basic education while challenging each student to build on natural abilities and develop skills to become lifelong learners and productive, responsible citizens.

Belief Statements

-Education is a process of preparation beginning at home, later aided by formal education and continuing throughout the life of the individual.

-Schools should be a center for learning in the community, available to help prepare people to meet their achievement potential.

-Teachers need to be dedicated to inspire interest and incentive to learn, and need the support of the students, administration, parents and the community.

-Community should be actively involved in schools and the lives of their children. Community is responsible for supporting schools financially and otherwise, and should strive for as much local control as possible.

-Children should have a positive, structured learning environment with as many educational opportunities as possible.
