St. John's United Church of Christ  emphasizes a ministry style that reflects a concern for people, an outreach to youth, an interest in developing its social consciousness and a strong desire to be witness to Christ's presence in the community and in the lives of its people. We seek to live by the credo of Being the Christ to one another.

St. John's UCC is noted for its innovation and creativity and for its interest in developing the spiritual life of individuals. Art and music, healing ministries, coffee-house discussions, and spiritual formation groups are just some of our programs.

What We Believe

The United Churchof Christ people do not all think alike so we don't require our members to subscribe to certain creeds or dogmas. We accept the historic creeds of the church, such as the Apostles' and Nicene, as representing the faith we share in common. We also have a Statement of Faith, which is widely accepted, and which we think is one of the best modern interpretations of Christianity.
