The annual National Road Festi"al / National Pike Festi"al is known as the "world's longest festi"al" happening along 300 miles of the Historic National Road, the first federal road built in the United States between 1811 and 1837. The National Road helped establish settlements from the East to the West, and is also known as 'Route 40' in Pennsyl"ania.
