This makes Schellin Park an ideal place to play some ball with your college friends. Or perhaps you would like to check out the Wooster Skate Park on the South side of Schellin.

Has been updated and improved since childhood days. Newer toy playground, big dog area, still have ducks at the pond. There are restrooms but are closed for the season right now.

Really great place for community events I just wish the city would suck it up and invest in it a little because there is graffiti there that's like a year old

I want to start off by saying I love this park. It's close to home, I utilize the dog park nearly every day and I've met a lot of wonderful people and dogs! The city is generally pretty good about getting down there to replace bags for the pups and fix any spots in the fence when ever someone calls. This park does have a bit of a trash problem. There are many people who go here during lunch and the garbage cans are always over flowing onto the ground. Maybe emptying cans just one extra day a week could prevent this. (Also if people could use common sense and not set trash on top of a can that is already over flowing, or clean out their cars into a small garbage can when there is a large dumpster 10 foot away..) Remember city parks aren't a necessity they are a privilege. If you enjoy going to your local park the least you can do is minimize the trash and always clean up after yourself.
