This is one of the best places to walk in Nacogdoches. There are a lot of people who take pictures of the wildlife and plants. Sunset is my favorite time when the sun is just peeking through the trees. I imagine it is beautiful at sunrise but I am never up that early. It's a great place to get a feel for the azaleas and even inspiration for your own garden. The Japanese maples are beautiful in reds and greens.

This is such a neat place to visit. My first trip was in mid-March, when most of the flowers were just beginning to bloom. It's very scenic and atmospheric, and there are some really cool artistic structures worth checking out. However, I would not describe it as being wheelchair-accessible, since the trails can be narrow, steep, and aren't paved for the most part, so take that into consideration if you have a condition that requires a wheelchair.

I was expecting a bit more of the Mast Arboretum. There were quite a few plants because we went in the springtime. It was a nice walk. I would not go out of my way to make a special trip to visit the Arboretum. However, if you just have nothing to do and you were looking for a place to just go have a nice relaxing walk in a wooded area this would be a nice place to go.
