We believe in one God, eternally self-existent in three equally ineffably glorious persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This God is infinite in holiness, glory, wisdom, power, truth and justice. This gloriously infinite being who dwells in heaven created everything that is seen and unseen, including the world of angels. As creator and Lord of all creation He is worthy to receive all glory, adoration and the ultimate allegiance of all His creatures.

We believe that this God has graciously revealed His existence in the created order. This revelation adequately testifies to God’s existence, wisdom and power but is inadequate to show man, once fallen into sin, the way back to God. God most mercifully revealed the way back in history and supremely in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. This historical revelation, God had recorded by godly men in the Holy Bible for the preservation, protection and prosperity of His people. The record, while not exhaustive, is an inerrant and infallible witness sufficient for the instruction and edification of His people. It is most necessary because it is the only divinely inspired revelation God has seen fit to preserve. As such it is to be implicitly believed and obeyed.

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, both male and female in a complementary union that serves as a type of the union between Jesus Christ and His love and commitment to His Church. We believe that they were created to rule over the creation in loving obedience and submission to God. We believe that led by Satan rebellion broke out among the Angels and that those who rebelled against God were expelled from heaven. Adam, who stood as root and representative of the whole human race, was tempted by Satan, the arch-enemy of God and he rebelled and fell into sin. This original transgression distorted the image of God in man and forfeited the original righteousness with which Adam was endowed. As a result of this one transgression the entire human race was plunged into sin. This state of sin has left all mankind opposed to God in every faculty and utterly unable to reverse this condition. This condition is the source of all the misery, immorality, and injustice in the world. Therefore, the ultimate need for the human race is to be delivered from sin and reconciled to God.

We believe from all eternity God has graciously purposed to save a vast number of guilty men from sin and to deliver them into an ultimate state of happiness and holiness, where they shall glorify and enjoy Him forever. These individuals are eternally foreknown by God, and in time brought to faith in the Jesus Christ, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, justified, adopted into the family of God and protected and preserved by God throughout this life. These individuals are all in this life forgiven of all sin and progressively delivered from the power and pollution of sin throughout the course of this life arriving at perfection only in the life to come.

We believe that in obedience to His heavenly Father, the eternal unique Son, the second person in the Holy Trinity became a man. He took human nature into His divine nature, without diminishing either the human or divine nature. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a life of sinless obedience to God, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, rose bodily from the dead three days later and ascended into the highest heavens in the plain sight of His followers. All this He performed as a substitute for those ordained to eternal life by God. To this work Jesus Christ, the god-man was ordained as prophet, priest and King to instruct, cleanse, rule and protect those given Him by God. His perfect life provided God with the obedience His people lacked and His perfect death answered the punishment due His people for their sins thus meeting the demands of the justice of God.

We believe that the perfect righteousness and deliverance from sin merited by the work of Jesus Christ comes into the actual possession of God’s people individually as it is applied to them by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity and He eternally proceeds from both the Father and the Son. In time, He sovereignly regenerates those ordained to eternal life bringing them to love and trust in Jesus Christ. All those who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit are once for all sanctified and sealed by Him through an undying faith that overcomes the world. He continues to work in God’s people instructing them and progressively delivering them from the effects of the fall until they appear holy and blameless before God in love. As He regenerates sinners planting them in the spiritual kingdom of Christ, He also will ultimately regenerate the entire universe and plant those He works in into a perfected and righteous creation. Until that day He resides in all He regenerates as the down payment and guarantee of the salvation God promises.

We believe that all those who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit will manifest the fruits of the Holy Spirit by a heart of loving obedience towards God and loving service towards man. While never perfect in this life, regeneration will be conspicuous by prayer, a hunger for and submission to God’s word and meekness, gentleness, patience towards men. Those who are saved will manifest a sincere desire to see God glorified in His creature and man delivered from the misery of Sin through faith and repentance to God.

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is universal and invisible consisting of the entirety of those ordained by God to eternal life as they are or will one day be gathered to Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. This Church is transnational, multiethnic, made up of men and women from every tribe, language and tongue and has one head, Jesus Christ. This Church in its visible expression is comprised of all those who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their children. Christ has given to His Church His word and sacraments along with other means of grace which are appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ to preserve, protect and strengthen the Church. This Church, though perfect in the mind of God, is always mixed with error and imperfection in this life. This Church is the primary dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and thus functions as a sign and outpost of the kingdom of God on earth.

We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordained by Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Church. They were appointed by Jesus to point to and when rightly received by faith, convey the privileges and promises of the covenant of grace. Baptism points to our entrance into God’s covenant while the Lord’s Supper points to our sustenance and continuance in the covenant. Both are powerful reminders of His death burial and resurrection, Baptism pointing to the new and living way opened to us and the Lord’s Supper pointing to the body broken and blood shed for the remission of sins showing forth His death until He comes. While neither is so linked to salvation as to have its absence negate it neither is to be neglected and both are to be prized and gloried in by believers.

We believe in the personal bodily return of Jesus Christ with His holy angels in great glory and power. Christ at His return will manifest his office of king and judge over the universe. As such he will assign the final state and resting place of every human being that has ever lived and bring history to its predestined goal and end. The righteous will receive the full manifestation of eternal life and the wicked will go to eternal damnation where they will consciously endure the wrath of God for all eternity along with Satan and His angels all to the glory and praise of God. Then will the righteous swell the praise of the holy angels and shine like the brightness of the sun throughout all eternity.
