Somerset Valley Middle School offers a variety of academic and co-curricular activities. This new facility has enabled MSAD #48 to introduce Integrated Technology, Art, and French for the first time at the middle level. In addition to these new programs Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Computer Technology, Physical Education, classroom Music, Band, and Chorus are a regular part of our daily offerings.

Technology has been emphasized throughout the building and is integrated into our instructional program. The school has two Computer Labs and an eight-station computer area in the Library. Computers are available in each classroom at the point of instruction. All Seventh graders have laptop computers, which are becoming an important part of their daily classes. TVs are available in all classrooms and may be controlled through the computer network to show cable, DVDs, and videos throughout the building.
