Newtown's only professional theatre company, Stray Kats offers contemporary classic plays and develops new works geared toward a mature audience. Past productions include the world premiere of Fred Stoppel's "Small World", an insightful comedy about an imagined relationship between Walt Disney and Igor Stravinsky. This two-hander hilariously explores the responsibilty of artists to society. On the other side of the sprectrum, SKTC is pleased to have presented "Seven", an oustanding work of collaborative theatre, written by seven award-winning playwrights, based on interviews with seven remarkable women who have dedicated their lives to defend women's rights throughout the world.
