Sugarfoot Farm

Highway 701 North

Sugarfoot Farm
Our weekly vegetable share contains a variety of organically-grown veggies that we grow on our farm right here in Horry County. We have a winter season that runs from November through April and a summer season that runs from May through October. As long as we have openings you may start anytime during the season. One full share is typically enough for a family of four and packs a half-bushel basket to overflowing. A medium share is usually good for a couple and fills a 12-quart grocery bag, while a small share is stuffed into a 6-quart grocery bag and is the usual choice for one person. The full is roughly three times the size of the small, and the medium is about twice the size of the small. The full share is by far the best value as you will get a larger variety of produce as well as our extras throughout the season, plus our full share members will occasionally receive our trial products for free. If you know you won't use everything that is in your basket when you pick it up, please consider donating some to the Second Harvest program at the Clemson Extension Service booth. Ask about our other items, too: raw goat milk, honey, eggs, sprouts, grains/flours, fruits & nuts, cut flowers, vegetable starts, and ornamental plants.

Sugarfoot Farms is a third-generation family micro-farm that is Certified Naturally Grown. We strive to create a farm that is 100% organic, sustainable and humane. We do not use any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or harmful chemicals and use only sustainable methods of controlling weeds, pests, and diseases. We use natural inputs and practices to maintain healthy, nutrient-rich soil and compost all of the waste materials that we can while reusing or recycling almost all of the rest. Beneficial plants such as marigold, nasturtium, and calendula grow alongside our crops to deter pests and attract beneficial insects. We plant bee attractants and keep our own honeybees to increase pollination of our crops.
