History

In 1934, the school was named Mary L. Tomlin Junior High School, with Mary Tomlin serving as its principal. In the year of 1955, construction was completed on the new high school on Woodrow Wilson Street (present location of Tomlin). Tomlin Junior High School moved from its location on Baker Street to the 1914 Building.

In 1969, Tomlin began double sessions from 6:50 a.m. to noon and noon to 5:15 p.m. In 1972, Tomlin Junior High School moved to the present location on Woodrow Wilson Street. In 1995, Tomlin Junior High School was renamed Tomlin Middle School. Tomlin Middle School underwent renovation and was completed in 2001.
