The District’s mission is to provide instruction, programs, strategies and challenges in a caring, positive learning environment. Each student will become a critical thinker, a lifelong learner, and a responsible, contributing citizen in a changing global society. Our vision for the students of the Tonawanda City School District is to excel in academic and social achievements therefore our foremost criterion for decision- making is the needs of the children. Through the academic and social opportunities we offer them, and in partnership with the community, we will assist them in becoming respectful and responsible citizens.

Our schools will be exciting centers of active learning where individual differences are respected, and where the contributions of the entire community are essential. With current data and a focus on student achievement, the shared decision-making process will be used. A forward-focused, open-minded, truly caring staff of dedicated professionals will continue to improve through on-going professional development and personal dedication to life-long learning in the teaching profession.
