Town Of Union City

101 North Elm
405-483-5509

We have a population of 1,375 per the 2000 census, and have a wide base of agriculture in our community, however we are experiencing new growth in the residential and commercial sectors. Accompanied with our town is a school that strives for excellence. Union City Public Schools offers preK-12, has a workforce of 35 employees, and currently has an enrollment of 246  students.Union City has a fully Qualified Water and Sewer Superintendent, who has equipment and man power to service the community's needs in matters of health and sanitation, as well as the supply and distribution of water, through a number of years of updating and upgrading, to the citizens of the town proper of the Town of Union City. We also have a fully staffed Police Department, with 24 hour service, state of the art equipment, and a staff that the community can be proud to have serving us in all conditions. A Fire Department, staffed and operated by personnel that sacrifice untold hours in training and service, keeping the community safe. A Fire Department that has made great strides in accomplishing tasks which have brought tremendous savings to the citizens of the Town of Union City.Recently, in 2006, the Oklahoma State Department of Corrections purchased a community correctional facility located within our incorporated area. However, this facility has not been a burden to us and the surrounding communities. It has provided employment as well as inmate labor for Union City and surrounding towns. The inmates are a huge asset to our town and they have aided in our overall beautification. Our two largest entries into our employment sector is the Oklahoma State Department of Corrections Community Corrections facility and newly added Boral Bricks Corporation.
