Welcome to the Smoky Mountain – Knoxville Chapter!!  We believe that it is important for all women, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, income level, religion or politics to stand up and Educate, Equip and Empower each other when it comes to protecting our families, our homes and ourselves.

TWAW Smoky Mountain – Knoxville is open to all women, age 18 and over, of all experience levels (beginners to expert), who want to learn about firearms in a safe, non-threatening environment.

Each meeting consists of classroom training and shooting time on the range.  The first hour or so is educational.  You will learn all things gun related (range/ gun safety rules, handling, fundamentals, personal protection in and out of the home, ammo, how to clear malfunctions, concealed carry, etc) as well as non-gun related (situational awareness, developing confidence, self-defense, networking with women of like interests, meeting new people/socializing) and so much more.  The second hour is on the range.  Chapter members will go out onto the range and shoot under the guidance and direction of our Certified NRA Instructors and Range Safety Officers
