Our Mission
The mission of United Way of Madison County is to provide leadership and support in identifying and satisfying basic human needs and improving the quality of life in our communities. We will be open, inclusive, creative and accountable in our service.The fundamental values that the United Way of Madison County holds are:

• We care about people - and commit to keep our focus on human needs and opportunities
• We believe each person has worth, wants to succeed, deserves a sense of dignity and self-worth and should have access to the basic necessities of life.
• We believe our various communities have pride and will be strengthened by common objectives that promote the improvement of the quality of life.
• We believe the people of our county want to help each other. We will provide an effective and efficient means for that organized help.
• We acknowledge that we must continually earn our place of leadership in Madison County; to achieve this, both the Board and its individual members must be effective listeners and participants in our communities.
• We will continually strive to improve our performance. We know we cannot do everything, and therefore must establish priorities in addressing the human needs of our communities.
