Whidbey Greenbank Farm

765 Wonn Road
360-678-7700

We are a small non-profit, managing 151 acres of publicly owned space, part of an historic farm, at the center of Whidbey Island. Our community has defined for us four areas of focus: Local Commerce, Agriculture, Recreation, and Natural Resource Stewardship.

There may be some who perceive these focus areas as being in conflict with each other...some who might wonder how we can manage Greenbank Farm to achieve such diverse goals. But we are excited! The bountiful harvest from the Ag Training Center. We are building programs that teach by example that environmental stewardship is a necessary part of sustainable agriculture and commerce - that agriculture is a necessary part of a healthy economy - that nutritious food is a necessary part of a healthy life, made healthier by outdoor recreation - and that community is what keeps it all in balance.

Whether you visit for a couple of hours, come for the day, make us a regular stop, or take part in our residential agricultural training course, we hope you come with curiosity and leave with a deeper understanding of how human activity can work WITH the natural world instead of in spite of it.
