About Us :

The Wirt County Historical Society brings together those people interested in history and in helping others appreciate our American heritage. The Society endeavors to discover, collect and preserve any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the Wirt County area. Members work to preserve buildings, monuments, markers and other areas of historical significance. The Society also co-operates with other historical societies to collect and disseminate information and preserve materials of state-wide sigificance.
