Women's Community League Of Weston

The dedication of over 350 volunteers has propelled the Women's Community League of Weston, Inc. to become one of the most successful and admired civic-minded organizations in the state of Massachusetts

Established in 1919, the group's mission is to foster the community spirit originally aroused by cooperative work during the First World War. The group has contributed time, money and boundless amounts of energy to the betterment of the Town of Weston and surrounding communities. Each year a scholarship fund to need-based Weston High School graduating seniors averages over $25,000. At Class Day, awards are given by The League for excellence in French, Spanish, Latin, and Literary Studies. Two Germeshausen Awards for Achievement in Science and two Community Service and Citizenship awards are given.

One of the main reasons for The League's success has been a program of eighteen interest groups, which are so diverse they attract women with a variety of interests. Some of the groups under the wide umbrella of The League include; Antiques Appreciation, Garden Club, Newcomers, Juniors, Singles, Clothing Exchange, Sociables and more
