The Cincinnati World Piano Competition’s mission is to inspire and positively impact our diverse communities with the joy and power of piano music, and celebrate and support young artists, locally and internationally, as they begin their careers.

We believe in making a change. We believe that inviting world-class competitors to Cincinnati is not only good for the city, but good for the communities that call it “home.” We believe that there is cause and need to celebrate this art, that educating our community in its history and practice is relevant and beneficial, and that its promotion is a non-negotiable that we are proud to pursue. We believe in classical piano music, its future, and our supporting role in its flourish and eminence.
