NCAA College Football Quick Hitter with Dana Ward from Gamblers Television

running time:03:08 added by:gamblerstelevision source: YouTube

Dana Ward from http://www.GamblersTelevision.com Hello College Football fans from our "Rockstar" studio this is Dana Ward here with our College Football Quick Hitter for the sports betting public. College Football fans the wait is over. The College Football season has arrived and kickoff is Thursday highlighted by an SEC vs. ACC matchup at 8PM ET to be televised nationally by ESPN. The North Carolina St Wolfpack will travel to Columbia South Carolina to face the South Carolina Gamecocks. South Carolina ended the 2007 season losing 5 straight games to finish at 6-6 and failed to make a bowl game. As head coach Steve Spurrier enters his 4th season he is hoping his offensive line can protect his quarterback better as this unit gave up 31 sacks a year ago. NC State is coming off a losing campaign in 2007 by going 5-7. The Wolfpack named their starting quarterback and winning the job over 4 other candidates was redshirt freshman Russell Wilson. With a redshirt freshman making his first start on the road for NC State the oddsmakers have South Carolina as a 13-point home favorite. The Rich Rodriguez era begins at Michigan as they host the Utah Utes Saturday at 12:30PM ET to be televised regionally by ABC. Head coach Rich Rodriguez has yet to name a starting quarterback and he told reporters on Monday that junior Nick Sheridan and redshirt freshman Steven Threet could share duties. There is youth movement at Michigan as 10 freshmen could see significant action against Utah. Oddsmakers opened Michigan as a 5-½ point favorite and the early money has come in on the underdog Utah, as Michigan is currently a 3-½ point home favorite. The #3 ranked USC Trojans begin their 2008 campaign traveling to play the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday at 12:30PM ET to be televised regionally by ABC. After suffering a dislocated kneecap a little less than 3 weeks ago starting quarterback Mark Sanchez is on track to make the start according to media reports. Sanchez participated in practice on Monday and looked good according to head coach Pete Carroll. Virginia is returning only half of their starters from a year ago. One local newspaper in Charlottesville Virginia, The Daily Progress does not like Virginia's chances in this game. The newspaper ran a story on Monday saying that it would take a miracle for the Cavaliers to beat the Trojans. Oddsmakers have USC listed as a 19-point road favorite. That will do it for today's College Football report. This is Dana Ward reminding you to check out GamblersTelevision.com this week as Tony T delivers his picks from week 1 of the College Football season.
