Town Of Six Mile

Six Mile is located on one of the most famous paths of travel in the United States, the Keowee or Cherokee Path and a semi-rural, residential community with a mix of small commercial businesses. Most of the development within the town is located along SC Hwy. 133, which divides the town and serves as its main street. The panoramic background of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and namely Six Mile Mountain, evokes an inviting and rural character. The 2000 census showed a population of 554. The town’s residents are employed in a variety of occupations ranging from professors, teachers, auto mechanics, government officials, textile employee’s, accountants, manufacturers, merchants & students.
