Founders Ron & Peggy Weiss and Jeffrey Weinberger are native Texans and graduates of the University of Texas in Austin. While enjoying the excitement of being in the forefront of the city's culinary development, they have remained deeply rooted in the community. Their style of relaxed, yet visionary enterprise, not only expresses the best of the heart of Texas, but is also sought out on the national stage as well. Jeffrey's has received the prestigious DiRONA Award (Distinguished Restaurants of North America), as well as the Wine Spectator Award for outstanding wine lists since 1990. In addition, The Weiss' were awarded 'Who's Who in Food & Wine in Texas' in 2001, inducted into the 'Fine Dining Hall of Fame' in 2002, and selected as '2002 Top 10 Restaurateurs of the Year.' The enduring success of Jeffrey's has led the Weiss' and Weinberger to establish other restaurant concepts: Shoreline Grill on Austin's Town Lake and Cipollina West Austin Bistro. Their hallmark remains great food enveloped in inviting, unique atmospheres, where every customer is treated as if they are dining in their own home.
