These values are demonstrated in our City of Lubbock Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Values Statement created for elected officials, staff members, and volunteers. These important statements were created by our city council, city management, and community leaders.

Our vision statement reflects an ideal achievement for all of us to aspire towards each day as we serve the citizens of Lubbock and work together to plan and construct a city that will be an example to other cities throughout our nation.

Mission Statement: Serve with Humility, Lead with Passion, Commit to Excellence.
As elected officials, city employees, and community volunteers, it is important to always remember that we are here to serve our fellow citizens. We must accomplish this objective with modesty, enthusiasm, and the desire to be exemplary in word and deed.

Values Statement: City of Lubbock employees are continuously striving to have an attitude, behavior, and spirit that is positive throughout the organization. It is that word, SPIRIT, which we use as an acronym, and a reminder, as to why we are here.

before us with efficiency and effectiveness.
