Good news for golfers, beginning July 1Ratliff Ranch Golf Links will allow golf carts off the path under the 90 degree rule.

All carts must stay on the path until the golfer is even (or at a 90 degree angle) to the ball, at which time the golfer may drive the cart straight out to the ball, take his/her shot and drive straight back to the cart path.

The Golf Advisory Board determined this rule minimizes damage to fairway grass, but will allow golfers to drive up to their ball.
